Locally Owned, Locally Run, Still Here
E-Smart Solar started in 2014, and we’ve stayed right where we began, based in Emu Plains, working the roofs of Penrith, the Blue Mountains and Western Sydney. In that time we’ve watched the rebate landscape shift more than once, a battery boom arrive, and no shortage of companies undercut everyone on price before disappearing well before the warranty period was up.
Our approach hasn’t changed through any of it: do it once and do it right. Every system is custom designed for the roof it’s going on and the way the household or business actually uses power, not pulled off a generic price list.
Our own crew does the work, our own electricians sign it off, and we’re still the people you call in five years. That’s the whole business model.

Our Own People, on Your Roof
We employ 7 installers and 4 in-house electricians, working as one dedicated installation crew across Emu Plains, Penrith, the Blue Mountains and Western Sydney. Keeping the trade in-house is the only way we can genuinely stand behind an installation years after it’s been signed off — there’s no subcontractor to chase and no finger-pointing when something needs attention.
Across our team, there’s more than 50 years of combined experience in solar and renewable energy, which is why the harder jobs, commercial systems, awkward retrofits, and properties other installers pass on tend to find their way to us.
Battery Storage, Built Into Every Design
We’ve installed more than 500 home and commercial batteries across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, and demand has grown sharply since the federal battery rebate landed in July 2025.
A battery only pays for itself if the array, the inverter and the property’s usage pattern are sized to work together, so every quote we write starts with real consumption data rather than a stock package. We’ll also tell you honestly if a battery doesn’t stack up for your home or business yet.

Solar is a licensed trade with a lot of paperwork behind it, and plenty of operators who’d rather you didn’t look. Here’s ours, in full.
Accreditation and code-of-conduct membership have both changed hands industry-wide over the past couple of years — the old Clean Energy Council individual accreditation moved to Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA), and the CEC’s Approved Solar Retailer program was replaced by the New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC). We’ve moved with both changes.
